After a first album under the name “Normablock” to the French netlabel Signal Zero and a net ep to the German netlabel Jahtari, Normaa is back for our biggest pleasure.The brother Acosta proposes here a claiming release. Fake Media is the result of the manipulated media, the current conflicts, the forgotten wars, poverty, and the dignity of the occupated lands and exploted countries. A travel between dub and IDM, exploring vocals and melodies, smooth and pain, red tears and dark hope. The digital drama and the war against wrong system and skills.

Normaa are from Gijón, Asturias, in the north of Spain. During the middle of the
ninetees Eduardo started to explore Hip Hop, composing and producing lots of tunes
under the name of Logic, always searching for the emotional side of the rhythm,
deeply inspired by Marseille hip hop (N.A.P., Oxmo Puccino, etc.) and the New York
Scene (like Group Home, Ghetto Child).
Around 2000 he and his brother Raùl started to explore digital audio and video
experimentation. At the same time Dub came into their works, mixing electronic
experimentation with dub exploration, motion graphics and experimental videos.

De provenance ibèrique,Normablock est un jeune skater-compositeur qui arpente depuis peu les scènes espagnoles. Souvent en binôme avec son vidéaste de frère il échafaude des compos allant de l’IDM breaké à l’electronica cinématique et il nous fait l’honneur ici de son premier album. Les directions musicales y sont diverses mais convergentes et la mélancolie rageuse des sonorités entre en osmose avec le traitement dub des compos. Une oeuvre pleine de vie et d’humanité.
